**About the opportunity**

As the **Process Improvement Specialist - Technical Writer**, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of StarTrack’s operational excellence initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Operational Compliance, you’ll drive the development and maintenance of high-quality documentation, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and operational procedures. This role is crucial in supporting continuous improvement programs, streamlining processes, and enhancing the capability of our teams.

**What you’ll deliver with us**
- ** Create and maintain technical documentation**: Develop business process maps, operational procedures, and technical documentation using tools like **Signavio/Visio** and the **Microsoft Office Suite**.
- ** Ensure compliance and standards**: Help ensure Network Operations meet Internal Control Check (ICC) and ISO certification requirements.
- ** Lead technical writing improvements**: Establish documentation standards, templates, and processes across the team.
- ** Support extended workforce**: Develop governance frameworks for contractors and external vendors, driving efficiency and consistency.

**About you**

You are an experienced **technical writer** with a keen eye for detail and the ability to translate complex processes into clear, actionable documentation. You’re proactive, organized, and able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, matrix environment. You thrive in collaborative settings, building strong relationships across teams, and guiding others on best practices.

**You’ll also need**
- ** Experience** in technical writing and business process mapping, with a proficiency in tools such as **Signavio** or **Visio**.
- A deep understanding of operational procedures, particularly in logistics or transport.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
- ** Lean certification** and **project management qualifications** are a plus.
- ** Experience in the heavy vehicle transport or logistics industry** is highly valued.
