Junior Café Assistant

**Looking for a young, vibrant and reliable Junior Café Assistant to join our team**

This role would suit a young person, living in the immediate area, who is looking to financially build towards their future. Our service offering is expanding, we are opening later and for longer and we are opening our second venue

**What are some of the tasks you will be required to complete?**:

- Keeping accurate and timely records
- Serving food and drinks
- Giving advice about food content and menu choices
- Handling raw and cooked food safely
- Working quickly and accurately to maximise sales
- Keeping the eating and serving areas clean and tidy
- Operating machines such as coffee-machines
- Handling customer enquiries, comments and complaints
- Keep storerooms and cool rooms tidy and organised
- Wash pots, dishes, utensils and cutlery and get them back into service
- Clean and sanitise kitchen appliances, preparation surfaces, floors and walls
- Do basic food preparation under supervision.
- Operating cash registers, accepting payments and preparing sales invoices
- Cleaning café equipment such as coffee grinders, espresso machines and ice makers
- Participating in stock takes and assisting in putting away new stock
- Providing backup to other café employees
