The opportunity
We are seeking a talented Project Management Specialist to support the C-17A Training System. Working in purpose-built C-17A facilities at RAAF Base Amberley, you will be part of a multi-disciplined team that performs a range of activities on a diverse array of cutting-edge simulation and training devices for the C-17A Training System.
**Responsibilities**:
- Support execution and delivery of the C-17A Training System Statement of Work
- Lead and perform project management activities in accordance with Boeing Program Management Best Practices and other associated industry standards (i.e. PMI, PMBOK, ANSI, and ISO-standards)
- Lead and leverage cross-subsidiary teams, relationships, capabilities and resources to ensure timely decision making, issue resolution and help needed in support of C-17A Training activities
- Manage project deliverables to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with quality standards.
- Identify project risks, develop and implement mitigation plans.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project processes, procedures and standardization.
- Conduct C-17 Pilot instructional duties during periods of surge and staff absence.
Experience/Qualifications
- Formal Qualifications or equivalent experience in Project Management
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in a relevant project, operations, or instructional role
- Sound leadership skills and ability to work effectively within a group environment and with people across all organisational levels
- Recent C-17 Pilot experience
- Negative Vetting Security Clearance or the ability to obtain
