**Accounts Officer**

**(part-time, 20-25 hours per week)**

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has just graduated, currently studying or is at the beginning of their accounting career to provide accounting support on a part-time basis. This role will provide transactional support to the Finance team and will regularly liaise with the Partners of the Firm, lawyers and legal assistants, banking and external authorities.

**Key activities and role responsibilities include**:

- Processing of daily receipting.
- Processing bills reversals and credit notes.
- Processing disbursements to be charged on clients’ files.
- Processing Accounts Payable invoices.
- Processing and reconciling credit card transactions.
- Petty Cash management.
- Daily banking duties involving physical attendance at banks or other external bodies, as required.
- Ad-hoc duties to support the Accounts Receivable Coordinator and Trust Officer in the performance of their roles, including monitoring their workflows.
- Reconciliation of assigned General Ledger accounts.
- Other ad-hoc duties, as required, and at the request and discretion of the Senior Accountant and Financial Controller.
- Entry-level up to a maximum of 3 years accounting experience. Recent graduates and students are welcome to apply.
- Intermediate to advanced level of Microsoft Excel.
- Tertiary qualification in finance or working towards is desirable.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, written and negotiation skills.
- The ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
