We are looking for a Return to Work Coordinator to join our Hays team in Perth.

You will play a crucial role in supporting the health and safety of our workers across Hays WA metro and regional areas and ensuring the completion of Return to Work procedures.

**Your new role**

Working closely with the Health and Safety Manager you will coordinate workers compensation claims, be involved in implementing strategies and processes for the successful management of claims, as well as Return to Work Programmes. Your role will be vital in ensuring the speedy and safe recovery of injured employees.

Duties includes:

- Ensure that work related injuries are reported to the insurer within 48 hours after being informed of an injury
- Ensure that contact is made with an injured worker, within 24 hours of notification of injury, and where it is practicable to do so, attend the initial or subsequent medical appointment with the worker to facilitate an early return to work on suitable duties
- Actively source the provision of suitable duties for temporary workers with restricted work capacity
- Reduce the impact of workplace injuries on affected workers
- Engage with an injured workers Manager, treatment providers and the insurer to achieve a sustainable return to work as soon as possible through the promotion of suitable duties
- Contact treatment providers prior to medical reviews in order to promote a sustainable reduction in restrictions to achieve a return to pre-injury duties
- Maintain accurate records and file notes of discussions with treatment providers, the insurer and the worker are kept
- Ensure compliance to the Procedure for Injury Management and Return to Work

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role you will have your Return to Work accreditation and be able to demonstrate knowledge of current legislation. This role is pivotal in the development of key relationships and so you must be truly passionate about people, as well as being able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will also have strong administration skills including time management and may have worked in a similar role previously.
