Downer acts as the facility manager at The Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH). The RAH is the largest, busiest and most technologically advanced hospital in Australia with 800 single in-patient rooms, including 100 same-day beds and 80,000 same-day and overnight patient admissions per year.

**About the Role**

We are looking for passionate and reliable individuals who will demonstrate exemplary communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a strong patient care focus. We are currently looking to fill Full-time, Part Time & Casual positions.

Performing as a Patient Support Services Assistant (PSSA), you will work closely alongside clinical staff members to provide exceptional service and assistance when performing your duties.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Assisting patients with menus and the ordering of meals
- Delivering main and mid meal offering to patients
- Interacting and communicating with patients, visitors and clinical staff
- Assisting with the movement of patients, at the request of the clinical team
- Working in conjunction with other services, including ordering and handling linen and,
- Assisting with monitoring and maintaining cleaning standards, complying with Infection Control requirements

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will hold the following experience and attributes:

- **Certificate III in Health Support Services/ Health Service Assistant (essential)**:

- Previous experience working within a hospital or health care environment
- Strong working knowledge of Infection Control principles and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional presentation
- Ability to work proactively and assist others in a team environment
- Able to work autonomously and without supervision to achieve responsibilities
- High attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
