A fixed-term VPS4 Project Adviser role in the Wellbeing, Health and Engagement Division of the Department of Education, available until 30 June 2027, involves coordinating projects related to physical activity and healthy eating within the Child and Youth Health Branch, including planning, stakeholder engagement, contract management, policy work, and administrative tasks.

**Project Adviser, Physical Activity and Healthy Eating, Department of Education**

A fixed term VPS4 Project Adviser, Physical Activity and Healthy Eating is available until 30 June 2027 in the Wellbeing, Health and Engagement Division in the Department of Education.

This role will undertake and coordinate projects within the Child and Youth Health Branch of the Wellbeing Health and Engagement Division. This role involves planning, stakeholder engagement, contract management and policy work, as well as administrative tasks. Building positive relationships with staff and engagement with key stakeholders within and outside the department are a crucial part of this role.

The position will work with the team to advance the department's health and wellbeing agenda. The Child and Youth Health Branch provides advice to support schools to implement health policies, and manages a range of school health programs and election commitments such as the Active Schools initiative, Free Period Products in all Government Schools, the School Breakfast Clubs program and supporting the Department of Health to deliver the Smile Squad, free dental initiative.

You will have a record of managing projects, some understanding about health issues facing children and young people and demonstrated understanding of the workings of government.

The role reports to the Manager, Physical Activity and Healthy Eating.
