Warrah is a leading disability services provider located in Northwest Sydney. Guided by the philosophy of Rudolf Steiner, Warrah has been dedicated to offering high-quality support and services to adults and children living with disability for over 50 years. As a vibrant community, we enrich the lives of individuals through a diverse range of services, including Supported Independent Living (SIL), Community Support Services (CSS), and the Warrah Specialist School. Additionally, we are proud to operate a certified Biodynamic Farm and Farm Shop, further supporting our commitment to holistic care and sustainable practices.

We are seeking Support Workers to join our team, with part-time and casual positions available in both our Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Community Support Services (CSS) teams. Our SIL environment provides 24/7 care, making it ideal for individuals with flexible availability, while our CSS environment offers a family-friendly schedule of Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm.

We are looking for motivated, empathetic, and committed individuals who are passionate about delivering person-centred, active support across multiple locations in the Northwest of Sydney.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide support using a person-centred approach, tailored to each individual’s plan.
- Coach and encourage clients to make informed choices, promoting their autonomy and independence.
- Engage with the broader community to enhance the image of people with disabilities and advocate for their ability to be contributing and valued members of society.
- Offer support, including personal care, to Warrah clients.
- Implement high-quality programs that align with participants' needs and preferences.
- Contribute to the planning and development of Disability Support services.
- Work within a framework focused on continuous improvement.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for both clients and staff.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

- At least 2 years of experience supporting individuals with disabilities, including those with complex behavioural needs.
- Practical knowledge of a human rights-based service approach in both individual and community contexts.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage your own workload, plan effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to communicate and share information in a respectful and professional manner.
- Good communication and de-escalation skills to handle various situations effectively.
- A willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Physically fit and enjoys participating in physical activities.
- Confident in navigating the community, including using public transport such as ferries, buses, and trains.
- Ability to adhere to reporting, documentation, and administrative requirements.
- Cert III or IV in Disability or Aged Care is desirable but not essential.
- Behaviour Support Training is desirable but not essential.
- NDIS Workers clearance, paid WWCC, First Aid, and CPR certification.
- A valid unrestricted driver’s licence, with the ability to drive a range of vehicles, including cars and vans.
