Our Company
Mackellar is one of Australia’s largest privately owned mining equipment & service providers in Mining and Civil Earthmoving.
Bring your Trades Assistant experience and provide support and assistance to the trades crew and Supervisors.
About the role
You will play an integral role within our site-based maintenance team, responsible for the safe and efficient running of the yard and operation of cranes and machinery. Key duties and responsibilities include;
- Loading and unloading inbound and outbound trucks
- Maintain a safe, clean and efficient work environment
- Forklift Operations
- Non-Slew Crane Operations
- Perform rigging, dogging and lifting operations
- Maintain order and good housekeeping
- Assist and support other team members as required
Your skills and experience
To be successful in this role you must have prior experience working as a Yard Hand at an Open Cut Coal Mining Operation and possess;
- Current Standard 11
- Forklift, Non-Slew Crane (Franna) Ticket - High Risk Work Licence (highly regarded)
- Conduct Rigging /Dogging/Lifting Operations RII (highly regarded)
- Current QLD HR Drivers Licence.
