The role will see you working for a FinTech SaaS business looking for a new QA Lead who can take ownership of the QA platform and function within the business, working closely with the Engineers and Leadership you will set up and futureproof the practice to allow for robust, fully tested, automated deployments across Australia in a number of product lines that will scale with the business.

Initially, you will be the sole QA person, with an experienced development team as your resource, you will establish a mature QA process to suit a SaaS product environment. As you grow in the role eventually you will grow the team and manage QA automation staff as well as potential vendors in future.

The position would suit someone able to be hands-on and direct the team right from the start, but also commercially minded, working with the leadership team able to put a mid and long-term plan in place and execute the plan to ensure a scalable automated QA function is in place to grow with the business.

**Key responsibilities include**;
- Perform all QA activities aligned to the Product Test Strategy using Selenium with Java and related tools
- Execute and provide technical expertise and support to ensure efficient and effective QA of all product change
- Investigate and recommend changes in approach to QA
- Collaborate with Engineering, and Delivery teams throughout the SDLC to ensure effective and efficient delivery of high-quality solutions that deliver business value
- Plan, Design and implement effective Test Design and Test Cases that effectively meet all Quality metrics, including Test coverage, traceability, and time for execution
- Show thought leadership across all of QA, help advocate the function working closely with the Product Development team as well as vendors if required
- Proven automation with Java is desirable
