**About the Role**

We are seeking to appoint a Visual Art teacher (Years 5 onwards) with a second teaching area of Humanities or English. You will be responsible for delivering a cutting-edge curriculum at Sheldon College, working with a dynamic team of dedicated educators. Your goal will be to enhance the capabilities of students within Visual Art, Humanities or English classrooms.

**About you**
- Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications majoring in Visual Art and Humanities. Multiple areas of expertise would be of great advantage;
- Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT);
- Ability to plan and deliver exceptional teaching and learning programs that meet the needs of students in Visual Art and Humanities according to ACARA and QCAA;
- Passion for quality teaching and learning and the ability to translate this into a challenging learning environment with strong student engagement and excellent academic outcomes;
- Ability to create a safe, secure learning environment in which trust is fostered, individual differences are respected and valued, and students are encouraged to be risk takers and self-directed learners;
- Capacity for reflection and self-directed learning with a commitment to continuously improve teaching practices;
- Strong team orientation with a willingness to contribute and collaborate;
- Ability to establish effective relationships with students, parents and colleagues and partnerships within the wider community;
Desirable
- QCAA accreditation in the QCE processes (i.e. Endorsement, Confirmation).
