Your new role
If you are passionate about communications and wanting a rewarding career, this could be the role for you. You will be working closely with your Team Leader and Communication Services Senior Officer to reinforce and implement Local Government strategy and help manage various aspects of the teams’ corporate brand.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

- Assisting with development and delivery of communication strategies and programs
- Assisting with research, development, implementation and evaluation of successful communication strategies and campaigns for a range of local gov projects
- Delivering relative advice and activities in line with guidelines, policies and processes
- Keeping up to date with communication research, theories and new trends
- Developing, monitoring and maintaining effective working relationships
- Developing marketing and communication campaigns and strategies for a variety of audiences.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful in this position, you will need:

- Previous experience in a communications team or similar
- A positive/can-do attitude
- Ability to work under pressure and reach deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to give and receive feedback to team
- Tertiary qualifications in communication, journalism, marketing, or relevant is desirable.
