**Position Information**:
Narrabeen Sports High School is a dynamic and inclusive, 7-12 comprehensive, coeducational high school, located 40 minutes from the Sydney CBD (975 students, including 10 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students). As an Australian Olympic Pathway School, our Elective Sports Academy also draws talented student-athletes from areas outside of the community catchment. **Selection Criteria**:
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
- Highly developed problem-solving and interpersonal skills to effectively manage the demands of whole school administration to facilitate the efficient daily operations of the school.
- Capacity to analyse data, use technology, and work collaboratively with staff to lead evidence-based programs that support the implementation of the Strategic Improvement Plan and the attainment of school targets.
- Proven ability to work effectively with the executive team to ensure school and departmental processes promote continuity of learning and student growth.
- Ability to develop a culture of high expectations and collaboration across the school community to ensure opportunities and pathways for all students.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice

2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs

3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams

4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents

5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning

6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
