**The Company**
AgriFutures is a statutory rural Research and Development Corporation (RDC), responsible for funding Research and Development (R&D) and related extension activity, on behalf of primary producers. They deliver programs for established and emerging industries and also deliver programs that address key challenges and important issues currently facing and on the horizon for Australian agriculture including evokeAG and growAG.

**The Position**
The role of Manager - Emerging Industries reports to and works closely with the Senior Manager - Emerging Industries where you will initiate, develop, and manage programs to help establish emerging industries. You will partner with these industries to assist them grow, have impact and develop as credible industries. You are accountable to manage the whole project life cycle across the emerging industries in your portfolio.

The role has a mix of key stakeholder relationship management, project management including managing a budget, investment strategy, and engaging with the sector at an intimate level to understand their market opportunity and their potential RD&E investment.

This role will be highly rewarding yet challenging. You will work to expected milestone achievements that will draw on your time management and organisational skills. A role that is highly rewarding but not for the faint hearted.

This role requires travel to engage with industry stakeholders, which will maximise your foothold with the industries.

**The Person**
To be successful in this manager role you will have:

- exceptional time management skills and an ability to prioritise
- love talking to, working with, influencing, and developing stakeholder relationships
- strong and proven project or program management experience
- be an effective communicator at pace
- a comfort working with changing deadlines and some ambiguity
- an affinity/passion for agriculture and or ideally some knowledge of RDE
