**Who are we looking for?**

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Space, Equipment and Assets Officer to join Faculty Operations, Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice, Academic Division.

The Space, Equipment and Assets Officer works within the Space, Equipment and Assets team, providing logístical and administrative support for the management of space, assets and equipment, and local health, safety, and environment matters. The position works closely with academic and professional staff across the Faculty to promote and deliver innovative and efficient work processes to support the achievement of Faculty objectives in a timely and client-centric manner. The role liaises regularly with staff from other areas of the university, in particular the Division of Resources and the Division of Administration Services including Campus Services, Digital Business Solutions and Facilities Management, and external contractors.

The Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice is led by the Executive Dean and the Faculty Executive team comprising the Executive Dean, Deputy Dean, Heads of School, Associate Dean Learning and Teaching, Associate Dean Research, and Faculty Operations Manager.
The faculty is comprised of the following Schools under the leadership of the respective Head of School:

- School of Communication
- School of Creative Practice
- School of Design
- School of Early Childhood and Inclusive Education
- School of Teacher Education and Leadership
- School of Justice

In addition, specialist Faculty professional functions include
- Faculty Operations: Budget and Planning, School Administration Support, Space, Equipment and Assets, and Technical Services teams under the leadership of the Faculty Operations Manager
- Office of the Deputy Dean: Engagement, and Student Specialist Support under the leadership of the Deputy Dean
- Office of the Executive Dean under the leadership of the Executive Dean

You will demonstrate:
1. Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of an associate diploma qualification and at least two (2) years relevant work-related experience.

2. Demonstrated ability to provide a proactive, professional service in a busy client-orientated environment to ensure a high standard of client service provision.

4. Well-developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to quickly establish rapport, manage collaborative working relationships and engage with diverse client groups both internally and externally.

5. Demonstrated planning and organising skills which will enable the appointee to organize and prioritise their work activities with mínimal direction to meet competing deadlines, and the ability to provide timely responses to unexpected challenges at short notice.

7. Ability to establish and maintain an effective health and safety culture.
