**About the Role**:
The Manager VU English (China Programs) plays a pivotal role managing the full range of operational requirements of the English component in a higher education pathway program, from recruiting and managing staff to developing and monitoring expenditure budgets.

This dynamic role combines leadership, operational management, and strategic oversight to ensure that VU’s offshore ELICOS programs in China provide high-quality education and meet both institutional and student goals. The role requires travel to partner universities in China as needed.

**This is a 24-month, fixed-term, full-time position, requiring 38 hours per week (1.0 FTE), at the classification of Senior Educator Level 3, with an annual salary of $120,509 plus 11.5% superannuation.**

**About You**:
You will have at least 5 years’ experience as either an English language instructor and/or in tertiary management in an international educational setting, preferably with China TNE programs. Your proven ability to effectively manage staff and students, along with your success in engaging with individuals at all levels in a cross-cultural context, will set you up for success in this role. Additionally, your self-directed, patient, and flexible approach will be key to thriving in this position.

With the ability to operate with mínimal supervision and utilize your excellent organisational skills to complete cyclical tasks and meet deadlines, you will possess a comprehensive knowledge of the Australian tertiary system. You will also be a fluent English speaker and fully competent in using Microsoft software and online platforms for global communication. A postgraduate qualification, preferably a Masters in TESOL or education related will be a definite asset.

**Duties**

Examples of duties you may perform will include:

- Maintaining overall responsibility for recruited teachers and offshore course coordinators.
- Implementing and monitoring the offshore ELICOS delivery across all sites in China.
- Planning and overseeing assessments and reporting for all sites in China
