About Fortitude Valley State Secondary College
Fortitude Valley State Secondary College, is a state-of-the-art multi-storey secondary state school and is located on the site of the former Fortitude Valley State School on the corner of St Pauls Terrace and Brookes Street, Fortitude Valley.
About the Role
Hours of work will vary between 6:00am to 5:30pm - Monday to Friday. There may be a requirement to work additional hours. The shift arrangements are split. A split shift allowance will be paid each day a split shift is worked.As a Cleaner, you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the site by providing a high level of cleaning support.
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Cleaning windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors and cupboards.
- Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities and sick bays.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
- Cobweb and mildew control, utilising extendable equipment as necessary.
- Cleaning of concrete, bitumen, asphalt and paved surfaces.
- Disposal of rubbish and litter control including removal of material from drains and gutters between and/or surrounding buildings.
**Following is information for the position**:
- The Cleaner will be expected to work as part of a team of staff members
- The accumulation of ADO time is a requirement of this position. ADO arrangements will be discussed and negotiated with the successful applicant.
Please note that the campus will not have on-site parking. Staff will need to consider options for public transport or paid parking facilities. The area is well-serviced by public bus and rail and the school includes end-of-trip facilities (lockers and bicycle storage).
