**Job Summary**:

- Knowledge of social care practices and procedures

**Responsibilities**:
- Provide physical assistance with dressing, showering, and toilet-related tasks
- Support in managing his medications and preparing meals, ensuring his dietary needs are met
- Assist with mobility, using his wheelchair and electric scooter as needed
- Engage with meaningful activities, including mindfulness coloring, board games, and music appreciation
- Help create a structured routine that includes grocery shopping, medical appointments, and leisure activities
- Approach client with care, respecting their preferences for personal space and communication methods, especially regarding a hearing impairment
- Minimize triggers in the environment, such as loud noises and certain discussions, to help manage PTSD and anxiety
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of client progress and services provided
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in support work or a related field, particularly with individuals with PTSD or brain injuries
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Services or equivalent qualification
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid driver's license
- Current NDIS worker screening check
- Current Working with Children check
- Strong understanding of ethical guidelines for working with vulnerable populations
**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $35.00 - $41.74 per hour
Expected hours: 8 - 38 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- On call
- Public holidays
- Shift work
- Weekend availability
Supplementary Pay:
- Penalty rates
