The Nurse Consultant - Pleural and Bronchoscopy is an expert practitioner responsible for assisting the respiratory proceduralists with the ongoing management and coordination of respiratory patients requiring pleural and bronchoscopy interventions. They will assess individual patient/client needs, plan and implement and assist with bronchoscopy and pleural procedures in the procedure area and endoscopy unit as required.

**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Nursing Director, some of your duties as the Nurse Consultant may involve:

- Providing specialised nursing support through a multi-disciplinary 'rapid response' service into the community to avoid ED presentations for pleural patients - potential for RN3 to upskill to be able to undertake pleural ultrasound in community/clinic.
- Involvement in complex patient troubleshooting, case-management, and hospital avoidance for pleural patients through a telephone or telehealth 'hotline' service.

**About you**:

- Experience and expertise in respiratory health in particular with respiratory procedures and pleural drain management
- Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience
- Demonstrated competence in Respiratory nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards
- Effective leadership skills, including communication, problem solving and conflict resolution
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- The Ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines
- A demonstrated ability to foster a workplace environment that develops staff potential
