Overview:

- The Principal Communications and Engagement Coordinator is responsible for leading engagement with key stakeholders and ensuring the development and implementation of effective communication and engagement strategies for a range of issues (both internal and external) relating to Tuberculosis (TB) and other public health issues affecting the South Australian Aboriginal community, including prevention, outbreak management and education.
- The role will lead and manage communications and engagement projects for a broad range of plans, programs, campaigns or services, resulting in effective and consistent communications with Aboriginal community stakeholders.

**Criminal History Screening Requirement**
- A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)
- A DHS ‘Working With Children Check’ (WWCC) is required for this position.

**Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (mínimal patient contact)**

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

**Special Conditions**
- The Public Health Planning and Response Directorate is an operational unit which may be required to provide a service outside of normal business hours. The incumbent may be required to work hours outside of normal business hours over a 7-day roster.
- Ability and willingness to travel to regional and remote areas of South Australia.
- Must be ready and willing to assist in managing disease outbreaks within Aboriginal communities which may include travel within South Australia.
