We have an exciting opportunity for an **experienced** Manager Verification and Validation **to join our Engineering team on a full-time permanent basis. Working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the General Manager Engineering, the Manager Verification and Validation will be responsible for:

- Oversee the planning of all Verification and Validation activities to ensure successful execution to agreed project/product requirements.
- Create and maintain requirement specifications, product specifications, test specifications, test procedures, test plans, test reports and test scripts.
- Create and maintain Verification and Validation group procedures, processes, and quality documentation.
- Manage the relationship and work / certifications conducted by external test laboratories.
- Provide your team guidance, mentoring and motivation, fostering the professional development and growth of the Verification and Validation team.
- Engage with both engineering and non-engineering staff across GME to ensure that Verification and Validation requirements are understood within the wider objectives of the business.
- Manage V&V activities within agreed budgets and schedules, ensure efficient resource allocation and develop cost effective practices.
- Identify and develop automated testing systems where appropriate.
- Provide technical leadership in your area of expertise and transfer knowledge to your team.
- Collaborate and develop relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Manage team member performance, review regularly to agreed objectives and targets.
- Any other duties as directed / required.

**To be successful in this role you will have the following qualifications and experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Communications or Computers) or equivalent.
- Meets Engineers Australia criteria for Chartered Professional Engineer
- Able to obtain and maintain a NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance.
- 5+ years of practical industry experience in product design verification and validation.
- 5+ years demonstrable experience using test automation tools in complex environments.
- Experience working within an agile development framework.
- Experience in Python scripting is desirable.
- Experienced in line management, managing employee motivation and performance.
- Proven ability to effectively manage relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
- Knowledge with military standards and regulations is desirable.
