Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, The Drake Group Mechanical Fitters are well-respected and skilled members of the workshop team.

This role requires someone who can assemble air, electric and hydraulic systems and routinely handles testing of installed systems. You’ll also need to identify faulty materials that do not conform to the company’s quality system.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Assembly of trailer components and testing of same, eg. Hydraulics, Air Systems and Electrics
- Check and test work performed by themselves
- Maintain tools and equipment in an efficient and safe operating condition
- Ensure that specified requirements for all work processes are met
- Report non-conformance in work and materials and opportunities for improvement
- Follow safe work methods
- Carry out procedures to keep factory areas clean, neat and tidy

**You will need**:

- Mechanical fitting, Fitter-Turner or automotive vehicle qualifications and relevant experience
- Current trade qualifications required
- Competence in use of factory equipment and tools of trade
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
