MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST

A position exists for a highly motivated experienced Medical receptionist to join our busy Specialist Practice for 31 hours per week on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, plus the cover of annual leave and sick leave.

The Practice is located at SJOG Wexford Medical Centre, Murdoch Campus.

We are looking for an applicant who is efficient, organised, enthusiastic, warm, and welcoming and who enjoys working within a team environment.

**Key Responsibilities will include**:

- Scheduling and managing appointments
- Liaising with patients, doctors and referrers
- Answering phones and patient enquiries
- Creating and maintaining accurate patient records
- Process invoices and payments

**Experience and Key Competencies**
- Exceptional patient care and telephone skills is essential
- Demonstrated ability to seamlessly handle a high level of work demands
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude in building relationships
- Positive and personable attitude with a willingness to learn
- Fast, accurate data entry skills with close attention paid to detail
- Reliable, punctual with a strong work ethic
- Able to work independently but also thrives on working in a team
- Able to multi-task and work under pressure

**Essential Criteria**
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist.
- Experience with Genie software.
- Excellent time management, attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Computer literate with experience and confidence utilising a range of network scanners, printers and other IT devices.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 31 per week

**Salary**: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Medical admin: 2 years (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
