**The role**

This senior role will maximise the value of our client’s carbon solutions projects and activities by leveraging existing and creating new market frameworks.

Key accountabilities:

- Drive the development of market environments that deliver competitive advantage from our clients’ carbon projects and market activities globally
- Negotiate market frameworks that unlock value from existing carbon ventures and enable new ones
- Negotiate amendments to existing market frameworks that drive the creation of new products and services in carbon markets
- Drive step change reductions in the cost of supply for carbon projects by leveraging relevant market frameworks
- Deliver carbon and environmental market monitoring, advising on current and future trends that will influence our clients’ decisions in carbon markets
- Manage relationships with relevant carbon market stakeholders to ensure our client has information and intelligence to make timely, value-accretive decisions
- Promote the integration of carbon markets with other relevant markets that could unlock new business opportunities.

**About you**

You will bring proven experience engaging with key stakeholders on climate-related matters and carbon markets globally. You have in-depth working knowledge of current climate frameworks related to the resource sector and frameworks that influence carbon project development.

Additionally, you will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline: law, economics, commerce
- 10+ years’ experience managing domestic and international political and/or regulatory environments
- Experience working on climate-related and/or other environmental market development initiatives within Australia and internationally
- Experience liaising with global carbon market influencers at all levels.
