**About this role**
Sitting in Melbourne fits into an established regional technical and advisory consulting team. You will be involved in a range of Australian and international assignments, predominantly as the lead of Energy Transition projects, and support on other related renewable energy and storage projects where required. Relevant workstreams would cover concept design, feasibility studies and front-end engineering design through to detailed design and owner’s engineer capacity where applicable.
**What will I do?**:
- Engage with clients, lead, direct, and scope Arup Energy Transition projects.
- Mentor and train staff on utility scale renewable energy projects linked to energy transition, decarbonisation, or decommissioning of power stations.
- Work alongside the Local Business Leaders as you lead technical delivery of Energy Transition projects.
- Take technical responsibility for the current and future overall performance of Energy Transition projects, as part of the Energy management team.
- Support the development, design and management of large, complex, long term projects. This will involve coordinating people, facilities and resources within tight timelines and in line with budgetary constraints.
- Supporting client relations and representing Arup at a high level regionally, nationally and to some extent internationally.
**What will I bring?**:
- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Mining, Mechanical, Process or Electrical Engineering or similar area.
- Relevant industry experience in energy transition, hydrogen generation and distribution projects within a consulting business environment.
- Demonstrated experience in leading large scale energy projects and teams.
- Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership.
