**Permanent, full-time position based in Hobart**

**The successful applicant will be working between 8am and 8pm.**

**Week 1: Monday - Wednesday 8am to 4pm, Thursday
- Friday 12pm to 8pm**

**Week 2: Monday - Tuesday 8am to 4pm, Wednesday
- Friday 12pm to 8pm**

**About us**:
Anglicare Tasmania is a non-profit organisation providing a wide range of community services to the people of Tasmania. We are part of the national Anglicare Australia network of organisations. Anglicare advocates for social justice and aids people in times of need. We provide programs relating to ageing and disability, health, housing, families, drug and alcohol treatment and support and more.

**About the Role**:
This role provides high quality, client driven support services to people living at the supported accommodation facility. Support is focused on developing our tenant’s skills, independence and their links with their local community.

**The successful applicant will**:

- provide information on a broad range of issues such as health, employment, training, income support, tenancy matters, social and recreational activities, and community resources and undertake a comprehensive assessment of potential applicants;
- incorporate participation strategies and ensure feedback mechanisms are used when working with tenants;
- provide emotional and more general support such as counselling, problem solving, crisis intervention and conflict resolution;
- make appropriate referrals and facilitate access to other support services as required;
- maintain accurate case notes, complete associated clerical and administrative tasks and statistics in accordance with program guidelines;
- participate in team based processes including team-debriefing and case consultation, staff and student induction activities, program planning activities, team meetings, training and skills development and offer support and guidance to other team members as appropriate;
- have a tertiary degree in Social Work, Social Science, Psychology or a related field or proven extensive experience.

The successful applicant will be required to:

- provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months);
- provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;
- provide a satisfactory Anglicare-assessed medical:

- provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence.

On commencement the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
