Operations Manager, East Australia

Job Summary

To maintain the objectives outlined within the territory growth plan, whilst managing and where necessary delegating all logistics and operational requirements for technical projects throughout a defined geographical area. Understanding the territory and driving strategy to support sales opportunities and providing the right solution to meet customer requirements together with managing Business As Usual (BAU) sales enquiries.

**Responsibilities**:
- Driving a culture of safety through the education & coaching of all involved with service delivery within the geographical area.- Maintain present customer relationships and maximize revenue through the territory growth plan actions and leverage upon contracts within your span of responsibility in line with current budget.- Manage project revenue and costs in line with approved & budgeted expectations.- Planning and implementation of work, including liaison with Central Operations, Engineering, contracts, finance and all other departments relevant to deliver a right first time project. Liaising with Operations Support in a structured manner to ensure appropriate project handover & efficient interaction when needed.- Ensuring operational compliance with Team QHSE policy and procedures.- Prepare and deliver timely responses to tenders, enquires and other Customer demands. This may include carrying out site work assessments and representing the Company at site meetings using sound technical and commercial awareness. When submitting prices consideration must be given to meeting budgeted contribution margins.- In conjunction with the territory growth plan, pro-actively sell Team to new or existing customers & appropriately engage support through various departments in order to achieve objectives.- Maintain & develop new relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.- Actively promote the Core values within all work based activities

**Requirements**:
- Engineering discipline or equivalent- 5+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience- 3+ years of Service operational and supervisory management experience- Good organisational ability & structured approach.- Strong and resilient temperament- Persistence and ability to achieve results with innovative ideas- Commercial and financial awareness- Leadership and negotiating skills- Use of Microsoft Office (Word, excel etc), Outlook & Projects
