About us
Strategic Communication is the department's centralised communication team and delivers communication services on behalf of the department's business units to inform and educate the community and staff about departmental policies, programs, and legislation.
About the role

**In this role, you will**:

- work as part of an in-house team of graphic designers, video and digital media producers and print production experts to develop and deliver compelling visual content
- deliver design services for internal and external channels, with a focus on developing engaging digital and social media assets to support the department's policies, programs and initiatives
- employ photography skills and assist with the end-to-end production of departmental videos including planning, filming, post production and distribution
- liaise with digital and multimedia personnel in other departments to keep up to date with developments and best practice in government communications
- offer genuine flexibility where your days and hours of work are negotiable.

About you
- proven understanding of designing for print and print production
- demonstrated skills in developing branding and visual design assets
- proven experience and proficiency in developing digital content such as animations, video, branding elements and original graphics for digital channels such as websites and social media
- proven experience in video and audio-visual planning, production and post-production
- demonstrated skills with Adobe Creative Suite products, in particular, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
- demonstrated skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, including skills and knowledge relevant to the formatting and publication of print-quality reports.

Upon commencement of employment with the department you will be required to provide evidence that you have an up-to-date vaccination status within the timelines specified by the department into the DJCS Service Portal. This includes evidence of three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine required by the department (from time to time).

Other documentation outside the above will not be accepted as evidence of having received your COVID-19 vaccine doses.
