About the role

Beerwah Family Store is seeking Part-Time Sales Assistant who loves retail, cover the operations on Saturdays and support the Store Supervisor on Fridays with the day to day operations providing an inspiring in-store experience to our customers, team & community members, ensuring the store is presentable, inclusive excellence in customer service and maintaining and ordering adequate stock.

You will successfully
- Oversee and actively participate in the retail operations of the store.
- Approve any adjustments to pricing or provision of discounts to customers or volunteers.
- Train/direct volunteers in store processes.
- Opening & closing the store and assist with balancing the cash registers at the end of the day as required.
- Prepare banking.
- Supervise volunteers in a courteous environment that fosters a productive experience for customers and staff and contributes to the overall team effectiveness.
- Participate in team activities, attend staff meetings when scheduled and demonstrates a supportive approach to other staff members which contributes to the overall team effectiveness.
- Meet Occupational Health and Safety obligations in line with TSA Policy & Procedures & relevant legislation.

This is a permanent, part-time (11.6 hrs per week) position, located in Beerwah, QLD. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the General Retail Level 3.

You will have
- Understanding of the value of second-hand goods with a wide knowledge on brands and goods.
- Certificate in Retail or Business or a related field is desirable
- Experience in retail and/or customer service environment with some supervisory experience is preferred.
- A national police record check is required
- Compulsory Code of Conduct, WHS and Bullying and Harassment training modules are completed and up to date.
- Able to work Saturdays
