This position will report to the Chief Retail Officer and will assist in overseeing the general operations of our warehouse and staff, achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of goods, and organising and maintaining inventory and storage areas.
To be successful in this role, you will have a demonstrated ability of integrity, honesty, flexibility, good energy levels and the ability to deal with fast paced and high pressure situations with ease.
**Duties May Include -**
- Mentor, motivate and support the warehouse team to ensure delivery is at a high level.
- Monitor the team on a daily basis and create an exciting atmosphere for our guests as they arrive and throughout their day.
- Assist the Chief Retail Officer with conducting new staff induction and ongoing performance training and development reviews.
- Ensure department policies and procedures are all up to date and regularly reviewed.
- Ensure the any area upgrades or maintenance concerns are appropriately reported.
- Responsible for ensuring all opening and closing procedures are followed (for example; locking gates, closing POS systems) as required.
- Preparing staff rosters/timesheets and daily organisation of the teams’ duties/breaks to ensure compliance with the Award.
- Responsible for receiving and storing product effectively within the warehouse.
- Coordinate stock deliveries from Suppliers into the warehouse ensuring stock delivered matches delivery note/invoice paperwork.
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles; accepting delivery of inventory; counting and confirming inventory; inspecting inventory for damage and faults; communicating errors to relevant parties.
- Facilitate stock requisitions and transfers from retail outlets for stock stored at the warehouse.
- Facilitate and support deliveries of stock from the warehouse to our retail outlets.
- Marking and labelling stock so we can easily and quickly find the stock within the warehouse.
- Liaise with Australia Post and Couriers to book in and prepare items for collection using the Electronic Lodgement of Mailing Statements (ELMS) system, Parcel Send and various courier booking systems.
- Oversee the pack and dispatch process for online and customer phone orders. Oversee all online returns, organising replacements or refunds as necessary, and keep accurate records of items returned or lost in transit.
- Oversee the coordination of outgoing business mail.
- Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service.
- Maintain a tidy and well-organised warehouse storage system.
- Responsible for maintaining a high standard of hygiene & cleanliness within the warehouse and workstations.
- Have the ability to maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, local businesses and suppliers.
- Assist with data collection and provide recommendations to the Chief Retail Officer regarding slow moving items or excess inventory stored in the warehouse.
- Regular briefings with Merchandise Buyer, Retail Supervisor and Chief Retail Officer to discuss any performance or operation issues.

**Essential Criteria -**
- Experience in a similar role.
- Good understanding of general warehouse terms.
- A positive attitude and value teamwork.
- Dependable, flexible and organised.
- Computer literacy.
- Full availability, including weekends, public holidays and school holidays.
- Proof of Coronavirus vaccination (unless otherwise exempt).

**Preferred Criteria -**
- Forklift Licence (FL).
- First aid and CPR Certificate.
