The Women’s & Children’s Health Network provides state of the art health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia. **The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) **is a free community-based tertiary mental health service provided through the WCHN across South Australia, providing care to those with severe and/or complex mental health needs. CAMHS provides services to: infants / children / young people up to 18 (16 in some areas) for community, statewide and hospital-based services / perinatal women.

**The Opportunity**

An exciting opportunity exists within **CAMHS Northern Country Team, **located at Port Pirie or Kadina to join the team as **Aboriginal Social & Emotional Wellbeing Worker**, ASO5 **on an **Ongoing**, **full time capacity.**

As the CAMHS Aboriginal Social and Emotional Wellbeing Worker, you will ensure optimal consumer care. Addressing cultural safety and undertaking culturally informed engagement, assessment, education/advocacy, counselling and group work are considered essential components of care which is directed towards consumer health and recovery. This involves ongoing consultation, liaison and co work with other CAMHS disciplines, government and non-government organisations.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will use your ability to integrate Aboriginal cultural experiences, philosophy and practice particularly as it relates to the provision of social and emotional/mental health services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children, young people and their families. You will additionally communicate and work with other professionals, facilitate group functions and work as a team member.

If you have extensive experience in providing assessment and interventions for Aboriginal children, young people and their families experiencing complex mental health / social and emotional wellbeing difficulties and developing, designing, implementing and evaluating preventative and/or therapeutic programs, then this role is for you.
