**_Job summary_**
- Hitachi Rail STS focuses on design and building of technological solutions for passengers (railway/mass transit) and freight railways._
- We are seeking a Document Controller/Engineering Support Specialist to:_
- _ maintain records and perform document control for regulatory and legal compliance _
- _support the Engineering team to meet their project commitments_
- _ help project teams with company processes and using project tools, related to Configuration Management and Requirements Management processes._
**_ Job responsibilities and duties_**
- _ Support the Project Engineer to define and activate proper project roles in the Hitachi Rail STS Product Data Management Teamcenter. _
- _Support the Project Engineer to define the project document templates and ensure that they are uploaded in Teamcenter._
- _ Import in Teamcenter the documentation list planning all the included documents with all the related information. _
- _Upload in Teamcenter the Product Breakdown Structure (PBS)._
- _ Monitor the presence of links between documents and the related parts within the PBS and ensure the notification of any issues to the project team._
- _ Ensure all technical deliverables, such as reports, drawings and documents are collected and registered in Teamcenter._
- _ Perform formal verification of all work products to ensure they are compliant with the required format and standards and are checked and approved by the appointed responsible before transmission to client. _
- _Support the projects to transfer documents and work products to client, ensuring the compliance with their processes and procedures. _
- _Print and distribute documents as necessary._
- _ Ensure beginners within the Engineering community training on the mandatory company documentation, requirements and configuration management tools. _
**_Job skills_**
- _ Tertiary qualification in computer science, business administration or similar field._
- _ Minimum of 2 years’ experience in document or records management._
- _ Experience of at least 1 years’ in the railways industry._
- _ Knowledge of document management systems such as Teamcenter, Microsoft SharePoint, InEight TeamBinder and Oracle Aconex._
- _ Knowledge of Rational DOORS is highly desirable._
