Southern Cross Care QLD are currently looking for a Financial Analyst to join the Finance team based at our conveniently located Support Office in Upper Mt. Gravatt.
In this role, as the Financial Analyst you will support the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis and the wider finance team across the portfolio of SCCQ services including Residential Aged Care, Retirement Villages and Community Services.

**What are the responsibilities?**
- Actively support SCCQ Residential Care, Retirement Living and Community Services to achieve their financial plan through financial KPI reporting, trend analysis, budgeting and forecasting, financial modelling and performance/variance analysis
- Provide guidance and support to Managers and drive a high-performance culture
- Provide appropriate support to all area of finance not limited to AP, AR and analysis team
- Support the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis with all analysis needs and drive performance analysis in line with company’s vision, mission and values.
- Support in preparing monthly management reports, including Board reporting, Executive Leadership Team (ELT) reporting and service stream reporting in a timely and efficient manner.
- Support Finance Team and the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis with annual budget, annual audit process and any project work when required.
**What you will bring to the role?**
- Bachelor degree in Finance or Business Management field
- Understanding of business analytics tools and accounting principle as per Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB)
- Demonstrated experience with the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products with a superior capability in MS Excel
- Strong financial modelling capability
- Superior level of accuracy and strives for excellence
- Ability and willingness to learn through mentoring, training and partnering with colleagues
- Ability to work with existing resources (system) to create and improve reports for stakeholders
- Ability to drive continuous improvement across organisation
- Highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with an ability to communicate with the elderly, families, staff and management
- Exposure to residential aged care industry preferred

Southern Cross Care Queensland (SCCQ) is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross, more than 40 years ago. They saw a need to provide compassionate care and inclusive service to some of the most vulnerable, the ageing population, in the community.
Since then, SCCQ has grown to employ over 1000 staff caring for and supporting more than 2000 people across 13 residential aged care homes, 5 retirement villages, 28 social houses, the National Disability and Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and home care services in metropolitan and rural Queensland.
