**Company Description**
Our Client is one of Australia’s Iconic Hardware and Gardening companies, they’ve been established for over 30 years and have a strong presence across Hardware and Mass Retail in the Australian market.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work for a global business who offer support, training, mentoring and will give you the building blocks to build a successful career as a field sales professional in a strong industry.
**The Role**:
The key focus of this role will be increasing the sales and distribution across your designated territory, primarily you will be focused across Gold Coast, Queensland and Regional will bordertowns of NSW.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Working with your existing customer base to identify gaps and opportunities to increase sales - this will include mass retail, hardware and garden centers.
- Achieving designated sales budget within your territory
- Focusing on merchandising opportunities, growing core ranges, ensuring product visibility to achieve revenue and KPI targets.
- Building and maintaining relationships within your territory
- Proactively pre-empting the needs of key customers
- Range reviews / promotional activity - reviewing ranges regularly throughout the year, to ensure we are adding value to our customers’ business.
- Provide accurate and prompt feedback regarding activity in your territory including competitor activity.
There is scope for this role to evolve into a leadership role over time, so someone who has had exposure to mentoring/leading a merchandising or field sales team will be highly regarded.
This role is suited to a motivated, experienced FMCG sales professional, you will be highly organized, methodical and have a stable track record.
- Relevant experience in a similar position across the FMCG Sales Sector
- Ability to manage and grow existing accounts successfully
- Availability to travel within the region including overnight travel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management skills with an ability to effectively prioritise calls to ensure that customer call requirements are met..
- Highly self-motivated and proactive with a good attention to detail.
It would be highly advantageous if you’ve got experience selling into Hardware retailers, however if you’ve sold into mass retail or major grocery this will also be considered.
You will need to hold a full drivers licence and have full working rights.
