**About the Role**

The Future Public Transport Ticketing (FPTT) System will ensure Victoria has a ticketing system that is fit for purpose for 15 years and beyond to meet customers’ expectations and the challenges of the transport network, while facilitating the efficient collection of fare revenues and unlocking potential benefits.

The FPTT system will replace the existing Myki system with Account Based Ticketing (ABT), where customer information is stored in a centralised back office system. ABT will enable greater travel choice for customers as well as flexibility to implement fare and policy changes quickly and to introduce new products. The FPTT system will be rolled out progressively.

The Commercial & Financial workstream is responsible for leading all aspects of contract, commercial, financial and compliance management for the FPTT services, and will provide specialist commercial and financial support to the Operations and Delivery workstreams as part of a matrix organisational structure.

The Commercial Finance Analyst is responsible for managing all financial and commercial modelling to support decision making for the FPTT solution. Working as part of the Commercial & Financial workstream in the FPPT project, this role plays a critical part in ensuring that project outcomes are delivered and optimised through effective commercial and financial management and effective oversight of the Contractor.

The Commercial Finance Analyst reports to the Commercial Manager.

**Position Outcomes / Accountabilities**

As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the financial and commercial models of the FPTT project. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of consolidated financial reporting. Collaborating effectively with stakeholders, you will ensure accurate forecasting of project finances and conduct a thorough assessment of project delivery. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring that modeling is aligned with the benefits management plan and supports the operational KPI regime for both CBT and ABT operations. Additionally, you will develop and maintain banking price modeling for merchant, scheme, and interchange fees. Working in close conjunction with the Commercial Advisory, you will ensure the delivery of outcomes that meet FPTT requirements.

**Qualifications and Experience**

**Mandatory**:

- Demonstrated experience in commercial and financial modelling to support decision making, preferably in a project environment

**Desirable**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification in commerce, finance, economics, business management or related discipline
- Strong, working knowledge of key processes involved in government financial accounting and standards
- Strong capabilities in undertaking and managing financial and commercial modelling for service contracts
- Experience developing and overseeing benefits management plans, including economic modelling of benefit cost ratios
- Experience in developing and managing performance frameworks
