**Job Description**:
BESIX Watpac have delivered a strong portfolio of diverse projects over our 40-year history, and due to a strong pipeline of projects in Queensland, we are seeking a **Design Coordinator** to join our team for the delivery of a correctional centre in Woodford.

This role is key to ensure project delivery excellence in design leadership. The key responsibilities of this position include:

- Participate in the management of the design team and the timely delivery of project documentation and attend and participate in design and coordination meetings for both Consultants and Subcontractors.
- Review project designs for regulatory and building compliance.
- Review the design for constructability in collaboration with the construction team and trade subcontractors to drive efficiencies during delivery.
- Review trade package documentation for compliance with Head Contract before tenders are called and progressively monitor the production of workshop drawings and coordination with works to be constructed.

**Qualifications**:
The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

- Tertiary Qualification in a relevant discipline - Construction Management / Architecture / Engineering.
- Prior experience working in the construction industry, particularly with a principal contractor delivering large scale D&C building projects from commencement to completion.
- Ability to collaborate with external consultants to obtain best for project outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

This role will require travel to the project site.
