As the On Site Representative for Team Global Express, you will provide quality transport and distribution services to the customer while maximising the profitability and productivity of the business. Will be required to coordinate the fleet of distribution vehicles operating out of the customers premises and coordinate monitor throughout the day to ensure pick-up and delivery windows are met, whilst keeping a high level of quality communication with the customer. You will also be a contact point for the customer and their stakeholders for customer service or operational queries.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure all deliveries presented by the customer each day are allocated to suitable vehicles
- Arrival at pick up and delivery is within required timeframes
- Communicate allocation plans to stakeholders where required
- Coordinate backup vehicles where required
- Ensure compliance of the fleet with respect to TED usage and Scanning
- Escalate any operational challenges to the Operational Services Manager as soon as they are identified
- Ensure subcontractor drivers are compliant with all customer and Team Global Express processes and procedures
- Weekly Toolbox talks with all subcontractors
- Disciplinary processes as required
- Work closely with customer staff to develop efficiencies, meet KPI’s and improve the customer - client relationship
- Manage driver leave and absenteeism across the site
- Facilitate training and development of drivers as required
- Devise strategies to ensure service standards are met
- Facilitate POD retrieval from the drivers on the customers behalf
- Ensure driver compliance to OH&S and Road Safety requirements
- Manage driver and vehicle presentation standards to ensure compliance with the customer’s requirements
- Respond to customer service or operational enquiries by the customer or their stakeholders quickly and effectively
**Qualifications**:
- Experience in the transport industry
- Driver Licence (Class C)
