Mosaic is an independent not for profit organisation providing a range of services in the areas of settlement, aged care, youth and vulnerable families across the Hunter, Central Coast and New England regions of NSW.

It is our mission to be the leading regional organisation working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) individuals, families and communities, providing services that strengthen and inspire people in an environment that is culturally sensitive and responsive to their needs and goals. We have a dedicated Aged Care Team that provides home care and support services in Newcastle and the Central Coast to aged people over 65 years from CALD backgrounds.

**About the role**

Home Care Domestic Support staff provide direct assistance to our clients with a view to improving their quality of life at home. Common tasks in this role may include helping clients with regular day to day activities such as meal preparation, transport to appointments, as well as light domestic assistance to maintain a safe and clean environment for the client.

To be successful in this role, you will:

- Have a commitment to making a positive difference in the life of our elderly clients.
- Be willing to travel locally between clients, and be flexible to work various shifts;
- Have genuine empathy and interest in working in a multicultural workplace;
- Hold a current driver’s licence;
- Have a reliable motor vehicle with registration and comprehensive insurance;
- Have a mobile phone with internet connectivity;
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to undertake this qualification.
- Willingness to obtain a fully vaccinated status against COVID 19 and Influenza.
- Willingness to obtain a National Police check and Working with Children Check (WCC).

We service clients across a whole range of backgrounds, so speaking another language is desirable but not essential, including Chinese and Italian.
