In this 12-month fixed-term opportunity, the Associate Director will be responsible for contributing to a simplified control framework for the Markets business through delivery of associated programs (Markets Simplification, FRTB, etc). The role will be focussed on implementing solutions for Finance which improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance function for Corporate Institution Bank and Treasury as well as ensuring FRTB compliance.

**Your key accountabilities will include**:

- Supporting the Markets domain projects, specifically FRTB through analysis, design, build, test responsibilities.
- Influencing and gaining agreement of scope from stakeholders.
- Translating business needs into a clear and measurable programme of work which is aligned to the business strategy.
- Managing the project of work to deliver a solution that meet business requirements and realises benefits within agreed scope, time, cost and quality.
- Monitoring and reporting on status of financials, risks, issues and progress towards milestones and deliverables.
- Directing the identification, monitoring, reporting and escalation of risks and issues and/or problems associated with the project, including challenging and influencing the head of finance and additional stakeholders.
- Ensure outputs delivered meet requirements and realise benefits.
- Leading adoption and innovation by creating additional value through the utilisation of data science and analytics.

**What you will bring**:

- Continuous Improvement & Innovation - Improves the efficiency and quality of existing processes and systems to create new opportunities.
- Agile approach to analysis & problem solving - Sources and uses relevant information effectively to identify problems and offer sustainable solutions.
- Profound understanding and experience within Product Control and Finance processes in the banking environment.
- Use of Finance systems and processes including SAP / Murex / Calypso an advantage.
- An understanding of the resources available across banking systems and stakeholder relationships such as Operations, Treasury and Finance Partners.
- Degree qualified ideally having a major finance/accounting with CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent) preferred but not essential.
- Results and result delivery driven - effectively and takes accountability for delivering on expectations.
