- **Clerk Grade 7/8 Salary ($106,025 - $117,363 pa), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading**

**Your role**

Provide a high standard of security and assistance to Centre Managers/Area Managers and Centre Managers to assist in the maintenance of good order, discipline, safety, and security of Centres in accordance with relevant legislation and Youth Justice policies, procedure, and standards.

Manage the efficient and effective, safe and secure operations and provision of services within the area of training, operations and response capabilities for the Security Team State-wide to ensure delivery of quality services.

**What you’ll do**
- Manage an operational functional team within the Security and Intelligence Unit to ensure compliance with legislation, policy, procedure, and duty of care requirements leading to cohesive and collective, safe and secure operations.
- Liaison with Centre Management teams in relation to coordination of scenario training exercises.
- In conjunction with the Operational Development and Training Unit, assist in the delivery of training programs that meet the standards and needs of Youth Justice to ensure staff are fully trained in the areas of critical incident management, security and emergency response procedures and techniques.
- Provide effective response to emergency situations and critical incidents, assess implications and provide advice, reports and recommendations to Coordinator Security & Intelligence Operations on security matters.
- Assist in the coordination of strategic security operations within Youth Justice centres to ensure effective ongoing delivery and maintenance of security needs to Centre Managers.
- Provide accurate, timely and appropriate advice to the Coordinator Security & Intelligence Operations on all operational security matters in the area of responsibility.

**What we’re looking for**
- Certificate IV Youth Work (Youth Justice) or Community Services (or equivalent)
- Possession of, or willingness to obtain, a ‘Provide First Aid’ Certificate (HLTAID003)
- Current NSW driver’s licence with ability and willingness to travel throughout NSW.
- Required to travel within Sydney greater metropolitan region and regional areas throughout NSW at short notice and after hours as required.
- Ability to obtain a national security clearance NV1
- Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
- National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014
