**Café Assitant Manager/Experienced Barista**

**Mistress on Moore - Ashgrove**is a high volume, community-loved café in Ashgrove. We’re on the hunt for an experienced Barista/Assistant Manger to help take the reins and lead our fabulous team.

If you’re passionate about top-quality coffee, warm service, and working to build a strong team who can deliver top-tier service in a fast paced, high volume setting(60+kg/week) - we’d love to hear from you. (Potential for Manager role)

**About You**

You’re a capable, calm, and thoughtful leader who takes pride in smooth service and great coffee. You enjoy motivating a team, jumping in where needed, and holding high standards—without losing the fun. You're an all-rounder, someone who values efficiency, team culture, and positive customer connections.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Lead daily café operations with energy, care, and attention to detail
- Train and support team members across coffee, food, service & cleaning
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee quickly
- Assist with Managing stock, ordering, and supplier coordination
- Help oversee rostering and team scheduling, including interviewing and training
- Handle POS, cash-ups, and opening/closing procedures
- Support and maintain a positive team culture and customer experience
- Ensure all food safety and workplace safety standards are met

**What You’ll Need**
- Previous café management experience in a fast-paced environment - at least 1-2 years.
- Strong barista skills and the ability to lead service on the machine - at least 2-3yrs experience
- Excellent team leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Level headed under pressure, high functioning common sense and initiative.
- Comfortable using tech (e.g., POS systems, Word; media/marketing skills a bonus)
- Strong understanding of food prep, hygiene, and safety practices
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including one weekend day
- The ability to carry out some manual tasks such as standing for long periods, moving stock, and general café duties
- Clear spoken and written English for team communication and customer service

Pay: $28.95 - $43.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 38 per week

**Experience**:

- Management: 1 year (required)
- Barista: 3 years (required)
