Coach Driver

Deanes Coaches are a family owned and operated coach charter company based in Canberra (Fyshwick) and the Snowy Mountains (Cooma).

We are seeking **“Experienced” **Coach Drivers to join our team.

Deanes Coaches is a family owned and operated company operating a variety of Privately Contracted School Buses in the ACT along with Charter and Tour work, ranging from local school transfers within the Canberra region, day charters, snow tours, educational tours and extended tours as well as worker transfers for the Snowy 2.0 project.

We are looking for committed, customer focused professional drivers to join our close knit team.

We are committed to providing a highly personalised service that only a family run company can give to our passengers and our staff. This is what elevates us from our peers. We operate a diverse modern fleet of currently 16 buses and coaches to service our customers from Depots at Hume ACT and Cooma NSW. We operate our own workshop facilities in Cooma to service and maintain our fleet.

We have the following driving positions available;
CHARTER DRIVERS to conduct local charters as required including weekends - Located at Fyshwick Depot (minimum MR-Auto Licence required)
- COACH CHARTER & TOUR DRIVERS to conduct charters both locally and further afield including Sydney, Melbourne, and throughout regional NSW and Victoria. This position also includes regular Snow work during the winter season. A high level of customer service and the ability to work over a 7 day week and be away from home for extended periods is required. (minimum HR - Manual Synchro licence. This successful applicant(s) have the option of permanent employment following their probationary period and review)

**MUST HAVES**:

- Minimum MR licence (HR required for Full Time work)
- ACT Licence “Condition O” Bus Driver Authority or a NSW Bus Driver Authority
- ACT and/or NSW Working with vulnerable (Children) people Check
- Knowledge of Canberra and surrounds
- Excellent Communication skills both spoken and written.
- Ability to use technology (all our vehicles are equipped with iPads as driver and operational aids)
- Ability to pass a Medical and be physically fit enough to perform cleaning and other related tasks.

**HIGHLY REGARDED**:

- Bus and Coach Driving Experience
- NSW / VIC Bus Driver Snow Licence
- Willingness to perform extended overnight tours
- Good knowledge of Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Snowy Mountains, South Coast and other parts of NSW
- Experience in Heavy Vehicle Manual Gearboxes
- Good mechanical knowledge

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 30-55 per week

**Salary**: $31.00 - $55.50 per hour
