About the business unit
Corrections Victoria is responsible for the direction, management, and operation of Victoria's corrections system, which incorporates prisons and Community Correctional Services. As a service agency within the Department of Justice and Community Safety, Corrections Victoria develops and implements policies, programs and services that ensure the safe and secure containment of prisoners, and that seek to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.
Corrections Victoria's Electronic Monitoring Services is a business unit within the Security and Intelligence Division. Electronic Monitoring Services maintains oversight of the state-wide program and management of the electronic monitoring operating centre.
About the role
The primary purpose of the Electronic Monitoring Compliance Officer role is to monitor offenders' compliance with electronic monitoring requirements, and administer all aspects of the electronic monitoring system, including response to system alerts in accordance with set protocols, management of electronic monitoring inventory and provide advice to a range of stakeholders.
The role is primarily based at the State-wide Services Building, Ravenhall, although some state-wide travel and overnight stays may be required. The Electronic Monitoring Compliance Officer works rostered shifts over a 24-hour period, 7 days per week.
**Some of your duties will include**:
- Monitoring compliance with offenders' electronic monitoring requirements and administering all aspects of the electronic monitoring system as required, including response to system alerts in accordance with set protocols.
- Providing advice in the use of electronic monitoring equipment to a range of stakeholders.
- Producing a range of Information Reports based on electronic monitoring data.
- Maintaining and administering relevant databases and document registers.
- Administering other forms of compliance monitoring, such as telephone monitoring as required.
- Assisting with electronic monitoring equipment stock maintenance and management.

- Experience with working in a monitoring centre or similar environment, including where a professional phone manner was required (desirable).

**MANDATORY VACCINATIONS**:

Therefore, there is a requirement that all DJCS employees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to undertake duties outside of their homes.
At interview stage and prior to commencement of employment with the department, you will need to provide evidence that you are vaccinated against COVID-19 with three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Upon commencement of employment with the department you will be required to provide evidence that you have an up-to-date vaccination status within the timelines specified by the department into the DJCS Service Portal. This includes evidence of three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine required by the department (from time to time).
**Acceptable evidence includes**:
- COVID-19 digital certificate (available via your myGov account)
- Your immunisation history statement (available via your myGov account)
Other documentation outside the above will not be accepted as evidence of having received your COVID-19 vaccine doses.
