**The Role**

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance & Grounds Officer who is passionate about a person-centered approach to care, to join our team located in the Sydney Area.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Maintenance and Grounds Officer will be responsible for ensuring a safe, inviting environment for clients,. This includes managing any maintenance works of the facility, grounds, and gardens, environmental safety, and waste management.
- Undertake environmental safety audits, managing hazards and taking corrective action
- Maintain a system and schedule of preventative and corrective maintenance works,
- Action maintenance requests in a timely manner relative to risk and priority
- Keep a record of maintenance works with necessary information, including details of action taken
- Maintain the grounds and gardens in a clean, tidy and homelike manner
- Ensure safety of equipment, garden fittings and furniture
- Ensure waste is managed effectively in line with local council guidelines
- Engage with contractors as required for specialised maintenance tasks and/or waste management

**What you will bring**
- At least 2 years’ experience in as similar role.
- A focus and dedication to employee safety
- Good communication.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year - The roster will be Tuesday - Saturday.
