Youth Activities Worker

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Youth Services Team as a casual team member. You will be responsible for supporting youth engagement and development activities, assisting with events, and promoting positive health and wellbeing for young people across the shire. Youth Activity Workers play an integral role within the Youth Services Team and contribute to the planning, delivery and evaluation of our programs and activities. We are seeking casual staff with diverse skills, and who take a proactive, inclusive and non-judgement approach to youth work. As an entry-level position, you will receive ongoing support, supervision, and opportunities for professional learning and development.
Council's Youth Services team works with young people aged between 12-25. They provide evidence-based programs and initiatives aimed at providing young people with opportunities to participate, to live well, to have fun, connect and influence and shape life in the Macedon Ranges.
Programs, initiatives, advocacy and support for young people and their families is guided by a ten-year strategic plan known as Elevate It is not your usual Council strategy; it was co-directed, co-developed and co-written by young people with assistance from Council’s Youth Services Unit.
