**Position Summary**:We are seeking a meticulous and organised **Procurement & Dispatch Specialist** to manage the ordering, tracking, and delivery of materials for our projects. This role requires attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and effective communication to ensure timely and accurate material delivery. You’ll work closely with our project and site managers to meet scheduling needs and ensure seamless operations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Materials Ordering**: Place orders for materials, tools, and equipment as needed for projects, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
- **Vendor Management**: Liaise with suppliers to confirm availability, pricing, and delivery timelines, ensuring the best value and reliable service.
- **Delivery Coordination**: Schedule and monitor deliveries, ensuring materials arrive on time and in the correct quantities.
- **Inventory Tracking**: Maintain accurate records of all orders, deliveries, and stock levels, updating systems as needed.
- **Quality Assurance**: Inspect received materials for quality and accuracy, coordinating with suppliers on any discrepancies.
- **Project Support**: Assist project managers with ad hoc requests and adjustments to orders to meet project needs.
- **Documentation**: Keep accurate records of purchase orders, delivery receipts, and inventory logs.
- **Administrative Tasks**: Provide support in various office tasks and assist team members as required.
**Skills & Experience Required**:
- **Experience**: Prior experience in procurement, ordering, or inventory management, ideally within construction or related industries would be well regarded.
- **Attention to Detail**: Highly detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills.
- **Communication Skills**: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, particularly with suppliers and internal teams.
- **Problem-Solving**: Ability to troubleshoot issues with orders, deliveries, or inventory management.
- **Time Management**: Able to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities to meet project deadlines.
