**About the team**:
To understand our merchandise business, we need to understand our customers. That’s why you’ll find us working across all business units at Coles Supermarkets, Liquor and Coles Local. Supermarkets is one of the largest teams at Coles, but we’re a close-knit group that come from all over the world. We’re passionate about working at the forefront of merchandising and making sure our customers have quality products at the right price.

**About the role**:
Reporting into the Senior Specification Technologist you will be the custodian of specification quality, accuracy and completeness in the Own Brand product specification database.

You'll also:

- Support in the development of strategic plans to address known gaps in specification completeness and accuracy
- Partner with and work collaboratively with suppliers to ensure delivery of action plans
- Ensure compliance with all applicable external laws, regulations, mandatory standards and codes

**About you and your skills**:
In this permanent complex and exciting ongoing role you will need to have demonstrated experience working within the food standard code. You will have the opportunity to have genuine impact in the work that you will do

You'll also need:

- A Bachelor’s Degree in food technology or equivalent
- Proven experience in supplier management, investigations, audit response and data analysis
- Experience working with both international and local suppliers
- Strong planning, time management and influencing skills
- High level of expertise in technical documentation
