**The Organisation**

My Supports is a well-established NDIS support provider founded and led by people with a disability. My Supports provides services to almost 2,000 clients across Australia. With a new CEO and ambitions to double our reach, we seek a talented Disability Support Worker to help us thrive.

We are a rapidly evolving, peer-led organisation committed to making a difference in the lives of individuals, with physical, developmental or cognitive disabilities. With over 20% of our employees having a disability and over 40% having significant lived experience, we have a vision to deliver quality, individualised support through our Neighbourhood Teams, bringing local knowledge and connections. We carefully match support workers to help clients be included in and contribute to their community. We wish to give back to the communities we work in by empowering our employees from all walks of life.

**The Role**

The Support Worker role is instrumental to the support and capacity building of our clients in the pursuit of their goals. My Supports Support Workers primarily assist our clients with the following supports:

- Household tasks
- Assistance with self-care activities
- Assistance to access community, social, and recreational activities
- Skill development
- Employment supports
- Assisting clients with their education and training goals
- Committed to the ideals of the NDIS and the people with a disability rights movement.
- Experience or exposure to the disability support sector and/or the NDIS.
- A pioneer - willing to innovate and try a new approach to providing support.
- A people person - enjoy being part of a team, can get along with people.
- Enjoy mastering new skills and knowledge.
- Willingness to work in new ways - using computers and online systems.
- Experience with challenging behaviours relating to Mental Health (desired).
- Qualifications relating to Mental Health (desired).

**Location & Benefits**
- My Supports is a national company with operations in Western Australia, New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia, our small, shared services office is located in Perth (WA).
- We are currently recruiting for a Disability Support Worker in the Midland suburbs of Perth, Western Australia.
- The role will require an availability to do overnight shifts, as well as completing personal care tasks.
