About the Role
To develop skills, knowledge and clinical expertise in paediatrics, and participate in the provision of clinical care, under supervision, to children and babies of the Metro South Hospital and Health Service.
- Take history, examine and arrange appropriate investigations for patients attending the Special Care Nursery and Children's Inpatient Unit, and Outpatients.
- Initiate treatment and action plans including a patient discharge plan under the guidance of more senior medical staff.
- Liaise directly with more senior medical staff to ensure effective communication including information about changes in each child's condition.
