FTL Transport Pty Ltd is a young and rapidly growing transport company that is seeking to recruit an experienced Linehaul Transport Allocator in Melbourne or Sydney.

**How you'll have an impact**:
Your core function will be to assist in coordinating the day to day interstate linehaul operations for a young and rapidly growing transport company. Your goal will be to maintain and develop relationships with customers and carriers, increase volume, maximise profitability and maintain high levels of service.
The primary service we offer our customers is full truck load interstate linehaul transport using a fleet of open and tautliner Semi's and B Double's. We operate Australia-wide and move freight for various industries, including consumer and dangerous goods, building supplies, show freight, FMCG and shipping containers.
**Duties and responsibilities**:
The duties of the Linehaul Operations Coordinator include, but are not limited to:
- Effective planning and problem solving skills to maximise fleet allocations and truck utilisation
- Managing relationships when dealing with drivers and customers
- Booking and dispatching jobs to drivers with accurate details
- Managing multiple tasks and maintaining focus on priorities whilst demonstrating a sense of urgency
- Business development by initiating contact with potential customers, following incoming leads and providing quotes and requests to further information
- Ensuring all drivers are performing at expected service levels - checking in for updates and ETAs at pick ups and deliveries and completing administrative requirements such as signed PODs and Safety Plans
- Compliance with all safety legislation including for chain of responsibility Adherence to set budgets and performance targets
- Ability to be a strong team player by communicating openly and lending a helping hand when needed.
**What are we looking for?**
Preferably we are seeking someone with the following attributes and skills:
- Have previous experience within the road freight transport or logistics industry ideally within an operations, allocator, or dispatching role
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as is the ability to build rapport and network with diverse drivers and customers
- Have strong customer service and remain cool when under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Have the ability to manage multiple tasks whilst maintaining focus on priorities and demonstrating a sense of urgency
- Experience with a TMS and MS Office
- Have the ability to work autonomously
- Be detail oriented
- Be an ambitious and success driven individual
- Applicants with previous experience in quoting or managing accounts will be highly regarded.

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
